The club has developed and sells a wood carving kit for adult beginners. (Please see Note below.) The kit is packaged in a wooden box and contains: Wooden box (8 x 8 x 1 3/4 inches) Knife handle (for interchanging blades) Two carving blades Leather strop Wrench to tighten handle Strop and stopping compound Sandpaper Starter project: Wooden boot cutout Pattern for carving boot or similar project One year membership in club Not included is protective gear: a carving glove, thumb guards and safety glasses. Anyone planing to carve, particularly beginners, MUST use protection. (Note below)

Note: These knives real carving tools they are NOT TOYS and they are very sharp. It is strongly recommended you use great caution and before using them become familiar with how to carve safely. Always keep your tools sharp as dull tools are dangerous and always, always use a carving glove on the hand not holding the knife and a leather (or equivalent) thumb guard on the hand holding the knife. Gloves and thumb guards can be purchased at local stores or on-line from carving supply stores. Glove and thumb guard are not included in this kit.
