The Hudson Valley Wood Carvers is a club for people who enjoy woodcarving. The club was founded in December 1974 for the purpose of promoting the art of woodcarving in the Hudson Valley.

Our club will strive to preserve, practice, perpetuate and propagate the art of woodcarving. We will utilize our unique talents to help others learn woodcarving as we also improve our own skills. Our meetings and workshops will be a forum of learning, teaching and social interaction. We will participate in community activities and put on displays to further our contact with the community. Our legacy will be that the practice and art of woodcarving in the Hudson Valley will be better because of the existence of our club.
